Fenicotteri Milanesi
A colony of live pink flamingos kept since 1979 in the garden of a private villa in the heart of the city
A delightful free spectacle in Milan's tranquil Quadrilatero del Silenzio, where a small colony of pink flamingos lives in the private garden of Villa Invernizzi. Visible through the railings on Via dei Cappuccini, the flamingos have been a quirky neighborhood landmark since the 1970s and make a charming, offbeat stop on a stroll through the elegant streets.
