Magis Showroom Milano
sitting and spinning in Thomas Heatherwick's iconic Spun chair
You can actually sit and spin in the famous Spun chairs here. The showroom changes its displays regularly, so there's always something new. Located in Milan's creative Brera district. Unlike most furniture stores, you're encouraged to touch and try everything.
In Brera, Milan. Easy to fold into a morning or a longer afternoon; there's usually something else worth a stop within a few minutes' walk.
Magis Showroom Milano is the Milan flagship of the Italian design furniture brand Magis, located at Corso Garibaldi 77 in the Brera design district. The 260 m² space spans two floors and was designed by Elisa and Stefano Giovannoni, conceived as a 'big shop window' that rotates displays of Magis bestsellers and new releases. Magis is known for collaborations with designers like Konstantin Grcic, Naoto Fukasawa, Philippe Starck, Marcel Wanders and Zaha Hadid, and the showroom is an active hub during Milan/Brera Design Week. A basement level offers an interactive area for architects and designers to meet directly with Magis staff. The official site corroborated the location, rotating displays and try-it nature; the curator's notes confirm visitors can sit in the famous Spun chair and are encouraged to handle everything.
