Café Nuances - Marais
Crosby Studios' mirrored stainless steel interior with the crumpled-paper counter
Design-forward coffee shop by brothers Charles and Raphaël Corrot, featuring Crosby Studios' striking stainless steel interior with signature orange accents. In-house roasted specialty coffee meets creative flavor experiments – try the Rose Latte with edible petals or Orange Mocha. Located in a 1950s Marais building with dramatic corrugated metal counter inspired by crumpled paper. Serious about both coffee and pastries, sourced from local bakers.
In Le Marais, Paris. Easy to fold into a morning or a longer afternoon; there's usually something else worth a stop within a few minutes' walk.
Café Nuances is a specialty coffee brand founded in 2021 by brothers Charles and Raphaël Corrot, now with four Paris locations. The Marais shop, designed by Crosby Studios, opened in 2024 as a futuristic stainless-steel capsule featuring a sculptural counter modeled on a crumpled paper cup. They roast in-house and serve five rotating single-origin coffees with evocative names (Brazilian Slow Dance, Burundian Coffee & Cigarettes, Ethiopian Rose des Sables). Press coverage from Wallpaper*, Azure Magazine, and The Infatuation emphasizes the design as a distinct Parisian identity rather than a Nordic third-wave imitation, paired with genuinely strong coffee quality.
