In Montorgueil, Paris. Easy to fold into a morning or a longer afternoon; there's usually something else worth a stop within a few minutes' walk.
Aux Crus de Bourgogne sits near rue Montorgueil in the 2nd arrondissement, in the former Les Halles market district. Taken over by twins Margot and Félix Dumant in 2019, who preserved the historic 1930s brasserie decor — dark wood, red velvet banquettes, white tablecloths, mirrors, brass rails — plus a large terrace. The kitchen leans classic French bistro with Burgundian accents: egg mayo, escargots, foie gras, pâté en croûte, steak tartare with fries, quenelles soufflées, beef bourguignon, and a much-praised profiteroles. Reviews praise atmosphere and traditionality; service can be inconsistent. Open 12:30–14:30 and 19:30–22:30, closed Sundays; weekday lunch prix-fixe €22, à la carte €31–58. Reservations recommended, especially evenings.
