The modern waterfront extension of the Royal Danish Library on Slotsholmen in central Copenhagen, nicknamed Den Sorte Diamant (The Black Diamond) for its angular black-granite facade. Designed by Schmidt Hammer Lassen (1999), it houses the library, exhibitions, a cafe and the Dronningesalen concert hall.

Curator's note
Owner is friendly to walk-ins; ask about the off-menu items. Reservations recommended Fri–Sat; walk-ins welcome earlier in the week.
